Closing Time

With a good conversation comes many diverse parts, Just kidding. The main just of a conversation includes: Opening, Business, and Closing.

I believe we have had an opening. As far as the business I am not satisfied, and I hope you aren't either.

So, Here is what's up....

1. It is Greek Week- This is a time where fellow classmates can compete in competion or just have some fun. I know personally last night at dodgeball was rough.....I should start to work out more! My arm is killing me.

2. SWEDESTOCK!- Enough said

3. Classes are almost over- Now, I dont know how the rest of campus feels about this. But, I for one am super excited. The feeling of knowing that my freshman year is almost over is just about as good as the first time you taste ice cream.

4. Summer is almost here- I know we are all pretty darned pumped for this. I mean Who couldn't be?

5. Finals- I know I spoiled it with that little one. But, if you put your mind to it it will turn out alright. It has worked for me.

Okay okay, now that the basics are out of the way I would like to let you know what is going on with me. I am about to move into my brand new spankin' house just down the way from campus. This makes it way more convenient than all the way across town. Which brings me to my next point, I am staying here over most of the summer. I will be spending my summer working at the good ol' pizza hut, hopefully swimming, boating, camping, and other leisurely activities. Furthermore, I have pledged for the omegas! Yah! It was way fun and I am just waiting to find out if I am good enough to become an active.....Fingers crossed!

Last but not least, I wish everyone a safe way home. And Make Summer as fun as you Can!!!! (Closing)

Spring Semester Here We Come!

Hey everybody!! So, wow it is officially February already. Where does the time go?! I bet you are all wondering what my countdown is this time........drum roll please....SPRING BREAK! I am totally excited for Spring Break this year because I'm going skiing at Snowy Range in Wyoming!! It seems like forever away but I know that the six weeks until then will fly by and that means I should get a head start on my reasearch papers that are due before I take off for the mountains!!

The end of basketball season is also soon approaching. We only have four regular season games left until tournament begins :( This season has been a fun and busy one. From traveling to Colorado, Oklahoma, and even all the way to Vegas, basketball has certainly kept me busy!

Well I hope everyone is having a fantastic New Year and have your own exciting countdown to look forward too, whether it's Spring Break, days until school is out, or hopefully how many weeks till you get to come to college at Bethany, I hope you all enjoy every second!! Take care!

Guess who's back?

Guess who's back?

That's right. The Bloggers!

Well, I would like to start off by saying that it has been way too long. Break seemed to take forever! But, oddly enough we have just started the semester and it seems as if spring break is just around the corner. CrAzY.....Right?

Well, personally I am really excited to be back in school and can't wait to figure out what those magic professors will have up their sleeves for the semester. It's looking good for myself. I am super excited because I am almost through with my General Education classes. Which means I have begun taking classes that deal more with pyschology! YAH.

My Best wishes.

Ready Set GO-als.

READY, SET, GO-als

Hey all,

I hope you are all doing well. As you know it is the holiday season and the end of semester is approaching fast. With all of the activities it may seem difficult to accomplish all of the assignments or projects you were planning on doing, but just remember....There's always hope. If you would like some encouragement I suggest a poem ,by an anonymous poet, Don't Quit.

Also, don't forget to make new years resolutions. There is always something you can do. For instance, you could make an effort to help others, study more, exercise, eat healthier, make new friends, etc.

So, I wish you all the best in the remainder of the semester
Including: Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years!
Take Care,
Sharla

Its Almost Thanksgiving Break!!

Hey Everyone!! I hope everyone is getting as excited as I am for Thanksgiving Break that is soon approaching!! I'm especially excited because I actually get to go home over the break for three days!! During Fall Break we had basketball, so I haven't got to go home yet, and I am totally pumped to finally go home!

Basketball is officially started. We have played two games and are 1-1 on the season so far. This weekend we travel to Oklahoma for our third game and I really think we can up our record to 2-1!! We also have a game on Monday in Denver, Colorado and then we play Fort Hays State in Hays, Kansas the next day. So pretty much I'm going to get to spend a lot of time in a van for the next few days, but I guess it gets me out of classes!!

I hope your school year is going fabulous!! Take care, and talk to you soon!!

HEY!!!!

Hey there everyone!
My name is Katie Olson and I am a junior here at Bethany College. I am a Biology/Pre-med major and also participated in softball my freshman and sophomore years. This year I am helping as a student coach.
Things are really coming together around campus right now. The apartments were finished about a month ago and upperclassmen, including myself, got to move in. I am enjoying the apartments thoroughly! They are also rebuilding and making advances on Nelson Science Building, which is awesome for us science geeks because we are getting all new labs.
Also starting on campus is basketball season. This is an exciting time of year because we are all still supporting the fall sports but also get to enjoy going to winter sports games. The men's basketball team started on Monday night with a scrimmage against Pratt Community College and won. Good start for a good season. The women played on Tuesday night and showed very good potential for this season as well.
Well, thats all I have for now but I will be chatting with you all again soon!
Later!!
