Fall Break!!!
Hello everyone! It’s me Sammie and I’m back again to update you on things here at BC! Well it’s finally here the second big weekend of the semester (Hyllingsfest/Homecoming were the first), it’s FALL BREAK!! I have to say I’m quite pumped to be going home. Even though I only live 3 ½ hours away I haven’t been home in over a month, so it’s a trip that is long over due. It’s especially hard to get away from here with so many activities there always seems to be something going on, and of course I don’t ever want to miss a Swedes football game. The thing I’m probably most excited for is getting home to see my one year old niece! Her name is Chellby RyAnn and she happens to be the cutest thing ever! However, this weekend isn’t going to be stress free I’m supposed to finally get my LSAT (Law School Admissions Test) scores back on Monday. UGGH, I have to say that makes me a little nervous. But thankfully I’ll be home with family and friends so if things don’t turn out the way I hoped I’ll be around comforting people! Well hope you’re enjoying fall as much as I am—last night my boyfriend and me carved a pumpkin and my whole family went to the corn maze last Saturday! GOD BLESS!!

HOMECOMING & HYLLNINGSFEST!!!
Hello! It’s Mariah again…
I cannot believe it’s October already! And what’s even more exciting, this week is HoMeCoMiNg and this weekend is Hyllningsfest! If you don’t know what Hyllningsfest is, let me tell you, you are missing out! It’s a three day celebration starting this Friday. Thousands of people come in, doubling or tripling the town in size. And in this small town, this is a major event! If you know anything about Lindsborg you know it’s a Swedish community (hence our mascot, the Swedes). At the parade this Saturday there will be Swedish dancers, floats, a host of food venders, arts and crafts exhibits, and of course on Saturday is the homecoming football game vs. Ottawa! The football team is currently 4-1 and we’re gunning for our fifth big win! GO SWEDES! Oh, and of course the group of girls who I always sit with at the games will be sporting our shirts. About 20 or so of us girls got t-shirts made for the football games that say “Real Women Know Football” and we are proud supporters :) If you don’t have anything else going on this weekend you should swing by Lindsborg and join in on the festivities! Cheers!

still alive
Well, I’m still alive and functioning after three or four weeks of school and football. School is going fine, I have taken tests in about every class now, so I am getting used to what types of questions will be on the tests. Football has been really exciting throughout the first four weeks. We won our first three games, including knocking off #12 Friends in our first home game of the year and third game over all. In our fourth game, we stumbled a little against #14 ranked Bethel College, losing 20-0. This week we play the Tabor Blue Jays as we look to improve our record to 4-1. Talk to you later!!
